An exhausting day, a frustrating phase; oh, the whining, complaining and fighting! AAAAHH!! Wait…STOP! Slow down… I must remember how BLESSED I am!! Daily I must purposefully focus on the blessings and NOT on the frustrations, aches, pains or tiredness.
Coming to know Jesus did not and does not guarantee a a perfect, painless, easy life. Never has he promised us that, but how very many great and precious promises he has given us!!
“His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” 2 Peter 1:3-4
Divine power? As a child of God’s we can take part in that power! Everything we need? We are bombarded daily with media telling us we need more, whether it’s stuff or time. But plug into God and he will fulfill those needs! Not always your wants…but your needs, yes. Great and precious promises, how sweet they are to me! Could not make it through life without them.
Today in the midst of your chaos of life…STOP…look around and be thankful for the blessings. Large or small, they are there and if you can’t see them, seek HIM and he will remind you and point you in the right direction. Read more in 2 Peter 1:3-11 and Philippians 4:13
