Well, with last month’s 31 day crafting series, there wasn’t much time for extra stuff around our house, especially baking. But my husband didn’t complain one bit…so this 5 day series is for him…AND YOU! Five days of PIES!
Today is: Truffle S’Mores Pie!
Graham Cracker Crust~ 1 stick of melted butter and one package of graham crackers crushed. Mix and press into pie pan.
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup milk
1 package chocolate chips
2 Tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 bag of mini marshmallows
Heat milk and cream on low until just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and mix in chocolate chips until melted. Use a whisk to mix in the sugar and salt. Lightly beat the 2 eggs and then add them to the chocolate mixture. Whisk all together and then pour into the graham cracker crust.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 30 minutes, just until firm. Then remove from oven and fill entire top of pie with mini-marshmallows. Place back in the oven on broil for about 1-2 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown. Watch closely so they don’t burn.
