I had so much fun with this project today, so…a heads up, I took a ton of pictures! But we all love pics, right?! Around here we really enjoy the Christmas season and especially the countdown to December 25th! And that is why I have another Advent calendar project for you today… Earlier this week I posted a tutorial for the magnets I use with this project, find that here.
Day 27:Magnet Calendar!
Supplies:
Cookie sheet (mine is 14×16), scrapbook papers, white cardstock, spray paint, number stickers for 1-25, Mod Podge and paint brush, paper cutter
The day before you begin this project, spray paint the cookie sheet in a color that coordinates with your scrapbook papers.
When you are ready to begin, cut the scrapbook paper in 2 1/4 by 2 3/4 rectangles. (25)
Arrange the rectangles in rows and columns on the cookie sheet (5 across, 5 down).
Paint a small amount of Mod Podge on the back of each one to hold them in place. From the white cardstock, cut 3/4 inch by 1 inch rectangles to use as a background for the numbers. I used scissors to round the corners, slightly. Use the Mod Podge to place one of those on each of the scrapbook rectangles.
Next, number the rectangles 1-25 with the stickers.
Paint over the entire calendar with Mod Podge to seal and hold it all together.
Let the calendar dry overnight and then you are ready to add the Marble Magnets! Add a magnet each day as you countdown to Christmas!
I liked this idea so much, I wondered what else I could do with a spray painted pan. I had an extra one that was a little smaller, so I attached scrapbook paper to the top and bottom of the pan and covered it in Mod Podge, as well. Makes a fun place to hang a few pictures with the Marble Magnets!
Hope you have as much fun with this as I did! Don’t miss any holiday projects! Find me on Facebook and at these link parties!
