31 Days of Homemade Holidays! Day 24:Felt Christmas Tree

Okay!  Computer glitch today…caused me to be way behind!  So we are jumping right into day 24 of our holiday series…My boys love to decorate and UN-decorate our tree each year, so here is one all for them!

Day 24: Felt Christmas Tree!

Supplies:

One yard of green felt, one brown sheet of felt for the tree trunk, yellow felt for the star, colored sheet of felt for ornaments or felt ornament kits, hot glue gun

Cut the yard of green felt into a Christmas Tree shape.  I cut part of one side and then matched it on the other, section by section to get it relatively even.  Freehand is not my forte!  This seemed to work well, though.

Then, you need to cut a star shape from the yellow felt and a tree trunk shape from the brown felt.  Hot glue each of those to the tree.

Now you are ready to decorate!  Find a place the kiddos can easily reach and hang their tree for them.  I found these cute felt ornament kits for 50% off at Hobby Lobby.  You could also cut circles out of colored felt to make the ornaments.

I’d love to hear what you think!  Leave a comment or follow along on Facebook!

  1. That is so cute! It’d be a great Advent calendar, too. Thanks for linking up out our Pinterest party! Pinning!

  2. OH! I love this! I have 3 small children and have thought about doing something like this in their playroom!
