Day 13: Marbleized Leaves! My last Fall project…moving on to Christmas tomorrow, don’t miss it! Like Eyes on the Source on Facebook to see posts right away!
Supplies:
Leaf cut outs (you can freehand or I found some here)
Shaving cream
Fall acrylic paint colors (red, orange, yellow, olive-green)
Toothpicks
Cookie sheets
Spoon
Squeegee
Spray shaving cream to cover the entire cookie sheet. Smooth it out with your spoon. Once it is smooth, pour lines of paint down the middle of the pan.
Then use a toothpick to draw lines back and forth over the shaving cream and paint. Keep going until it looks “marbleized.”
Lay your leaf cutout on top of the paint and shaving cream, pat down gently. Slowly, peel back the leaf and lay on a cookie sheet, paint side up.
Hold one end down tightly and pull the squeegee across the paper, removing the paint and shaving cream. And leaving behind a marbleized look!
Set aside to dry and then hang to decorate!
Can’t wait to share tomorrow’s project with you! See you then!
